Simply put, it is the art of getting stuff done! Executive Function is a set of skills that help us manage our time, keep track of important information, and make plans and decisions at every stage of life. No one is born with these skills, but we are all born with the potential to develop them. Task initiation, persistence , and time management are all important aspects of executive function. By developing and practicing these skills, your teenager will have the tools necessary to reach their full potential.

No matter which barriers stand in the way of a teen and his or her self-mastery, or how seemingly big they are, there is always a way through. My job as a coach is to help teens figure out the obstacles that are preventing them from moving forward, and guide them to discover their own unique path. I do that in three phases:
Establish: build rapport, create trust, and help them see the importance of building core life skills.
Explore: help give them a bird’s eye view of what’s working for them and what’s not. Their thoughts play an important role in self-monitoring.
Engineer: help them create an environment where they can establish their own internal and external controls. As they develop controls, positive habits will follow.
Life can be viewed in three distinctive parts:
-The past
-The present
-The future
A master of self is someone who uses these timeframes to their greatest benefit by recognizing that:
-The past is your lesson
-The present is your gift
-The future is your motivation
I can help your teen create core life skills, help build confidence, and bring some peace to your relationship.

"I'm creating new habits to help me control my workload"

"Chris has been so important to our family. My son, who just entered high school, needed the organization and guidance of a coach. He was not going to listen to me and the way Chris communicates with his ADHD brain has been wonderful. I look forward to having him set up and organized for the rest of his high school career"
Parent, 9th Grader
"I really appreciate your work with him. It definitely is helping him and I think he values your perspective and support"

My Story
While working in various student-facing roles at a Seattle school, I noticed a teacher sitting at her desk with her head in her hands. She was overwhelmed and at a loss for how to help her student settle into a routine and schedule that was required for school. At that moment I realized there was a problem, and I may be able to help solve it. With my years of training, and education COTA/L, MSC , observation, and resourcefulness, I believed I could help students (and their parents) through Executive Function Coaching.
Helping teenagers navigate the challenges of school and everyday life is my passion, but it is YOUR story that is most important. As a parent I understand the pain points, frustrations, and struggles that come with this process. Students need someone in their corner along with their parents to support them. I can help uncover your child’s roadblocks and provide a safe space to practice new skills with continued feedback.
